	General interests This is some general info about me and my preferences, in case you don't feel like getting something off the list. I enjoy Learning, reading, hiking, backpacking, movies, books, music, comics, art, design, geisha, history Genres of music Anything but young country and hardcore gangsta rap. I love weird new stuff. Scents Yummy foody goodness, happy bright florals, soft powderyness, etc. Nothing too fake or heavy. Foods Meat, seafood, chocolate, vinegar, citrus, beer, wine, sage, cream cheese, mint, cinnamon, savory, butter, mushrooms, fresh veg. Art/design Aesthetic runs to traditional Japanese and classical/traditional European/American. I love organic shapes blended with industrial, and light and color are very important to me. Makes for an interesting mix. Artists I particularly enjoy include Ansel Adams, Salvador Dali, M.C. Echer, Hiroshige, Hokusai, Robert Mapplethorpe, Claude Monet, Georgia O'Keefe Designers I particularly enjoy include Ken Adam, Mark Friedberg, Eiko Ishioka Authors Douglas Adams, Richard Adams, Orson Scott Card, Frank Herbert, James Herriot, Harper Lee, Jack London, Robin McKinely, Larry Niven, Dan Simmons, Amy Tan, JRR Tolkien Stores Alibris, American Science & Surplus, Altrec, Cabelas, Campmor, GoFastAndLight, Macys, Michaels, Sports Basement, Tandy Leather Factory, Target, Victorias Secret, White House Black Market, Whole Foods, WinterSilks, Places Japan, nature anywhere, Disneyland, 5-star restaurants & hotels, Europe, New Yawk, Washington DC, Chicago, ok, most anywhere I have or haven't been Misc I love old books on women's roles and etiquette (and hygiene and whatever).
